What a coincidence
by bagpuss inon wednesday evening,3 hours after posting on this board for the first time,completely out of the blue i received a phone call from the person i studied with.bearing in mind that it's 16 months since i last went to a meeting i thought it was quite a coincidence.......or is it?

Very good point! Scully. I've often mentioned to my husband that it doesn't make sense how soon people get baptized. Whether being raised in the truth or not. Especially being raised in the truth though, because you're young and unable to really truly think for yourself. Usually your parents try to have you baptized before your 19. Really though, you're just learning about life, virginal thinking, really. Definately not ready for that kind of a commitment to the truth or anything. I don't know how this brilliant man could give up such a career. Not too brilliant at all, really. It's very sad. When he's 80 and looking back on his life I wonder what he will be thinking. Probably he will be very depressed and sad like the other JW's in the Org. It's a vicious circle really! Panther

I've just read all the threads for Ian and I am in awe at how much love and support there is. It's absolutely the most amazing feeling. I have tears in my eyes at how special you all are. Ian, I will be praying for you often and trying my hardest will all the energy I have to focus on shrinking those damn tumors. How dare they invade your body! We are going to beat them and you are going to carry on happy and healthy. Don't give up my friend. You have so much to live for. We all love you. Your so special.
